Although pigment molecules stay in the skin indefinitely, the colour will remain visible for 1-5 years. After this time, colour will gradually start to fade. Colour retention varies from person to person. This can depend on your age, skin type, colour choice and lifestyle. A colour boost is recommended every 12-24 months. Please note there is no guarantee pigments will completely disappear over time.

Everyone tolerates pain at different levels, but with advanced new equipment and techniques, discomfort will be minimal. We will ensure you remain comfortable at all times.

Of course! You are in control every step of the way and the final outcome will be decided by you. As professionals we can advise you on possible colour choices to suit your skin tone, placement and shape etc but nothing will be final until you have agreed and are 100% happy.

For new procedures please allow 1 1/2 – 2 hours. For retouch appointments please allow 1 – 1/2 hours.

Immediately post procedure the area treated may appear swollen and the colour will appear darker and more intense. This will last for several days, swelling should subside within a few hours. Complete healing can take up to 6 weeks for the pigment to mature in the skin and the true colour to emerge.

Before committing to any permanent procedure please make sure you research the artist / technician and ask to see their previous work. Anyone carrying out permanent makeup should have themselves and their premises registered with their local council, and follow all bylaws to comply with health and safety.

Layla is currently registered with Thurrock and Havering councils and holds all relevant certificates. Patch tests and thorough consultations are always carried out prior to booking your appointment. A consultation is important to discuss your requirements, get to know your technician and ensure you feel comfortable and confident in their ability. At a consultation Layla will discuss the treatment itself, colour choice, drawings, and answer any other questions you may have.
